The last summer, was not a very enjoyable one. It wasn't hot at all, it rained almost every weekend.
In June, my dad was in and out of the hospital and clinlic, because of the kidney stones. In July, we discovered that my mom had colon cancer. In Aug, my mom's most respectful brother passed away. Along with other minor but dealable bad news, this summer, is not very kind to us. But we are still staying strong, we are not crushed at all, we are all optimistic. Especialy my mom, I admire her, her spirit is still hanging high.
Now it's Fall, my mom is going to have a surgery to remove part of her colon and lymph nodes this Wed. It's a big operation, she will be in the hospital for 7-10 days, if everything goes smoothly and perfectly, she is expected to recover from this surgery in 2-3 months. If there is no cancer cell in the lymph nodes, it will be great, that's what we all hope for. If there is (knock on wood), then she will need chemotherapy. God bless her, if there is one.
I am grateful that I have a support system. It's not big, but I am grateful. My boyfriend, my ex-bf (who is like a real brother to me now), and my best friend Karen and her family. They all have been good and helpful to us. I kinda expected that Jon and Jim would help me, and they did. But Karen, she doesn't have to, but she volunteered to help me to take my parents to the clinlic and hospital for 4 times to do the translation, so I didnt have to take more days off from work. I can't say thanks enough to show how grateful I am.
Also Febbie, who actually went to visit her mom's doctor to get consultation for me. Big C and Eva who gave me valuable advise. Jon's mom, Jon's brothers and sister-in-law, who arranged the doctor appointments for us, so we dont have to wait so long , and everyone else, who came visit us, pray for us, and sent their warm wishes. Thank you all.
