Penguin's live

Last month, I said I would post the link of the article that touched me, I know it's a bit late, but here it is ;) Let's be kind and patient with kids. http://bamboo.myweb.hinet.net/n/20031031.htm

Spoiler alert: I watched March of the Penguin recently. It's like a discovery channel kind of movie, it's about the habitat of Emperor penguin. With my limited knowledge of nature, I don't know there are other animals that have tougher lives than they do. Those poor guys...they are so cute!! I always think if there is God, why would he have to make their life so difficult...and why horrible things would happened to innocents all over the world? I really don't get it.

Last week we went to Wonderland ( amusement park) with Blair and Emma. It was super fun, We went on all the crazy rides in the park. It was super fun, but at the end of the day, I came home with one big swelling eye brow (and it became a huge black eye the next day...), coz I got hurt in one of those crazy rides. Like what we were always told as a kid, "too much fun would lead to something tragic" (Chinese: "Lock" "gig" " sun" "bay") :...(

Tomorrow I will have a garage sale, putting eveything that I don't want out on my driveway for sale. If my neighbors walk by and they like something, then they can buy it. I am pretty excited about it. Not long ago, I discovered a wholesale place that sells rhinestone earrings, bracelets those kind of asscoraries. They just look divine, yet cheap. A business idea came up in my thought. Then I invested about $120CAD (not really that much, like $800HKD, I just want to test it out) on them, bought some pretty jewerllery boxes. I am gonna sell them tomorrow during the garage sale. I dont know if it will work in a garage sale, but I will still try, hee. If ppls likes it, maybe I will start aution them on ebay or yahoo. hee, eventually, I will become a rich little woman, haha. ;p

Cirque Du Soleil

Thanks to Jon's dad, I have seen some really great shows this summer. The Blue Man Group and Cirque Du Soleil are the best two shows I've ever seen so far (hopefully, more to come in the near future, heehee). The Blue Man Group was a very innovative show, interactive and fun experience, lots of surprises.

This Wed, we went to the Cirque du Soleil. Almost everytime when they come to a city, they introduce a new theme. This time, our show is called Corteo. I felt in love with it. I kept thinking about how much thought the whole circus crew have put into the show, it's amazingly creative. I love the stage design, I love the costumes and I love the characters, everything is so detailed and articulated, glazed with a layer of Romanticism.

Jon didn't really appreciate the artistic & theatrical aspects that much, he wished there was more focus on the acrobat stuff. (You can't trust his taste, coz he is a little bit color blind ;p Plus this was his 6th visit to the Cirque...he likes their previous ones better ) I think it is not the most perfect performance, but I love it. I admire the effort they have put into it; this artistic circus shows imaginations and skills. Bravo & Bravo!

I just found out they have a video clip of the show on their website. You have to see this, coz my words don't do the justice, hee. click here

O, o, and they are playing in HK in Nov too, different theme and different crew tho, but it's really worth to go seeing it! Highly recommended, 5 stars out of 5*. ;p
